The Key English Test (KET), is a basic level qualification that shows you can use English to communicate in simple situations and have achieved a good foundation in learning English.

Real-life Language Skills

The KET is set at Level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). A2 is the level of English needed to:

	understand simple written English
	communicate in familiar situations
	understand short notices amd simple spoke directions

Its shows that you are able to communicate at a basic level in English. The Importance of an English Speaking Test

There are four language skills that we need for complete communication. Though related, each of the four skills — listening, reading, writing and speaking — are distinct and each contributes uniquely to a student’s overall communicative ability.
